Dress for Success

At Newlands Junior School we feel that our uniform helps to build a strong community spirit and a feeling of belonging amongst our pupils. We encourage them to develop a sense of pride in their appearance and it ensures all pupils are equal, reducing the pressure to buy the latest fashions.

All of our uniform can be purchased from local supermarkets at a reasonable cost. Please ensure the correct uniform is purchased and worn every day. School ties are given to the children when they start with us (spares can be purchased via the school payment system).

For anyone struggling with the cost of new uniform, we have rails of donated items which are put outside school each morning weather permitting. if you are unable to find items you need, please inform school and we will help you. if you would like to come into school and look at the items at a different time during the day, please contact the school office. 

Our intention is that all children are dressed the same, regardless of money and all are made to feel equal, valued and proud.
